Our client a husband/wife with one young son (almost 5 years old) are moving into a 10,000 sq. ft. estate in Woodinville, Washington in early December.
They are looking for a highly competent yet very personable and family loving domestic couple to live on their property (3 bdrm guest house provided) and manage the grounds, gardens, repairs/upkeep, as well as the housekeeping/laundry/cooking/household management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
For the gentleman: Property maintenance and general upkeep of the grounds of an 11 acres property including gardens, lawn, supervising weekly landscaping team, security of the property, repairs/troubleshooting for the estate (setting up a household manual and continually accessing what the property needs and how often service should be performed), procuring contractors and oversight of vendors/contractors, and vehicle maintenance.
For the lady: Initially our client wants a strong focus on highly meticulous housecleaning, daily laundry, meal support or meal preparation, and household management. She will provide oversight of our day worker housecleaner and will lead by example (and provide any training if needed) so that eventually her focus can shift from deep housecleaning to just regular ‘basic’ housecleaning or daily graces, laundry, keeping the flow of the home, shopping, light cooking, etc.
You will also always be in charge of laundry and dry cleaning (MUST have excellent laundress skills as this chore will never be handed off to their day worker) and whatever else may need an ‘expert’ touch in the home.
You will need a very keen, discerning eye, especially as it relates to housecleaning and the presentation of the home.
Both roles will require a certain level of pet care and/or interaction with pets.
Working hours: approx. 40 hours per week with schedule being Monday through Friday.
Accommodation: Guest cottage is a lovely, recently updated 2,500 sq. ft home with 3 bdrms and 2 baths. Trees and forests provide lots of privacy for the home which is at the front of the property by the main entrance gate. Can be furnished or not.
Salary and other benefits: Open to discussion for the most qualified candidates, $150k+ per year
All major holidays paid; 20 days of sick/personal leave per year.
4 weeks paid vacation annually and full medical/dental/vision/401k plus a yearly discretionary bonus.
