“Hello and let me gladly introduce myself. I am Kathryn, a 53-year-old mother to two. My own children are graduating this year with their abitur in Berlin and are ready to spread their wings. My son will be attending a university in California on a tennis scholarship and my daughter will be taking a gap year where she hopes to work with horses in America before applying to university.
Therefore, I have the time and eagerness to devote myself to another family with young children. If you are looking for someone reliable, friendly, easy going, confident, educated and trustworthy than I am your person.
I have a background in nursing with a Bachelor’s degree in health science and nursing. I also studied to be an elementary school teacher for 3 years in the U.S. My nursing background covers everything from pediatrics, family practice, internal medicine and a specialty in emergency medicine.
After having my own two children, I decided to make a radical change and work as a preschool teacher….something that I always felt pulled to do. I love being around children and I find that teachers are some of the most friendly, down to earth and creative people you can know.
Since 2009, I have worked at a private bilingual preschool in Berlin. I have worked with ages 1-6 teaching all areas and additionally, I am a certified children’s yoga teacher and enjoy teaching Tai Chi and Chi Gong movements as well.
I am hoping to stay locally in Berlin as I have an 11-year-old rescue dog, but I would consider re-locating as well for the right position.
