Dear family,
My name is Ray. I was born and raised in Tokyo and am seeking a long-term, full-time position.
Since arriving to the U.S. in 2011, I have worked significantly with infants and toddlers in a variety of international households.
In my most current position, I worked for a British-German family for two years and was responsible for all childcare duties and interacting in German language with a toddler.
What I love about my work is the process of cultivating friendships with children. I have shared happy moments and laughters together with them. That has strengthen my appreciation for the individuality and uniqueness of every child and my desire for continuing my roll as a nanny.
Additionally, I was a language tutor for 14 years and instructed students from pre-schoolers to teenagers. My experience with gifted children and those with ADD/ADHD has developed my interest in child psychology.
I describe myself as reliable and trustworthy. I put importance on being punctual, and working independently. By nature, I am gentle and warm. I also value respect and human ethics.
My hobbies are culture, art, and music. I also take great pleasure in singing, reading and walking outside, amongst nature. For that reason, I enjoy exposing children to cultural sights, museums and parks, where they can discover the beauty of nature.
Finally, I am the proud mother of two German-Japanese sons. They are now fully independent and living in Germany.
I am grateful for the kindness, generosity and trust that all families gave to me. Now, I am very much looking forward to meeting a new family.
Warm regards,
Ray
