“I was brought up in Switzerland and therefore I speak fluently German and Swiss German. I have been living in England for over 20 years and have worked continuously since I have graduated with a BA (Hons) in Decorative and Fines Arts from Sotheby’s Institute of Arts. I worked almost a decade in the Arts World and then I decided to make a career change to work for UHNW Families.
In my capacity as Private Executive Assistant, I have been in sole charge of running the Private Office in London and my duties included dealing with all the family finance’s (budgeting, cash forecasting, paying bills from on/ off shore accounts, collecting payments, liaising with external accountants in relation to tax returns etc.), complex diary and travel arrangements, to ensure the smooth running of the households in different locations, organising large private household and office moves, setting up new households/ insurance/ security, property maintenance and handle the HR duties for the household staff.
In one of my private household positions, I was also acting as a gatekeeper for the Principal’s private business interests and on his behalf I would deal with the family trust and being the company’s secretary. I was also in charge to deal with all matters in relation to his property portfolio in Barcelona and London. This would include for example buying and selling properties, property refurbishment, dealing with rent arrears and renewals of tenancies and overseeing the finance of multi million construction projects.
Alongside these key duties, I was also overseeing the Family’s Decorative and Fine Art Collections in relation to insurance, security, shipping and storage. I have also set up comprehensive inventories in excel and as well as in a professional database such as Sotheby’s icollect.
Overall, I am self- motivated, reliable, loyal, DBS (CRB) checked, non-smoking professional with a strong work ethic who can work with little supervision. I set a good example for other staff members by being helpful and having a practical approach to solve problems. I am always striving to go the extra mile in order to achieve the set goal.
I am now looking for my next stepping stone in my career as I have recently returned from a long trip to Asia and Australia. Ideally I would like to find a position with long term prospects in Central London but I would also consider a role abroad.
