House Manager – London and South of France

Entrepreneurial couple seeking experienced house manager. The couple enjoys entertaining on a regular basis. Position is based 70% in London and 30% in the South of France.

The main residence is in London in the Brompton district of Kensington and Chelsea (the Boltons).

He or she will take care of the daily details of managing their homes in order to free up time for the employer.

• Systematically manage daily operational activities in the homes and some auxiliary properties
• Schedule, supervise and manage all staff
• Supervise all contract workers & vendors
• Oversee the physical properties including automobiles
• Work closely with staff to maintain desired standards of the residences.
• Monitor and may manage the household budget
• Supervision of vehicle maintenance & documentation; some driving and errands
• Development and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Work with Chef planning events and scheduling catering staff as needed
• Other tasks as directed

HOURS OF SERVICE: The house manager is on duty for 5 days per week on a flexible schedule and on call 24 / 7. The employer’s highly value the service attitude that puts their needs at a premium.

The candidate should be a career oriented and professional. The main character trait is to be anticipatory and self motivated.  Other traits include:

  • Detail oriented and self directed
  • Courteous, discreet, honest and responsible character.
  • Be well groomed, physically able to perform the duties of the position.
  • Be of good background and willing to submit to pre employment background check.
  • Non smoker


A one bedroom flat approx. 1 mile from The Boltons and in France a standalone one bedroom cottage located within the estate gardens, 50 metres from the main villa.
