BUTLER FOR YOU® has been engaged exclusively to recruit an accomplished Female House Manager for a distinguished private family in Kuwait.
Working closely with the female principal, you will take responsibility for the smooth running of the residence and lead a household team of more than 30 staff across housekeeping, kitchen, gardens and security.
This position calls for someone who combines the judgement and discretion expected in a high-profile home with the warmth to build a trusted relationship with the principal. You will set clear standards, lead with compassion and a firm but fair approach, and ensure that every aspect of the household runs with care and consistency.
The role
You will oversee daily household operations, supervise and develop staff, and establish effective schedules and task rotations. You will maintain and improve household procedures and staff manuals, coordinate leave and annual holiday planning, and work closely with the chef on menus and service.
You will also manage purchasing, inventories and monthly expenditure reporting; review invoices and expense requests; and liaise with suppliers, contractors and specialist service providers. Your oversight will extend to maintenance planning, accurate records and the regular testing of the residence’s safety and security systems.
When the family entertains, you will coordinate catered events and ensure that hosting, guest reception and service reflect the standards of a high-profile private household.
About you
You will bring proven experience in a senior household management role for a VIP, UHNW or similarly high-profile family, including the leadership of a substantial team in a large private residence. You are highly organised, proactive and confident in creating the systems that help a complex household operate efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgement, a polished professional manner and strong references are essential. You must be willing to relocate to Kuwait. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates in Europe and worldwide.
Package and start date
This is an immediate-start opportunity with an excellent remuneration and benefits package. Benefits include private accommodation connected to the residence, comprising a living area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom; a private driver for you; visa support; health insurance; one annual return flight; 30 days’ annual leave; and an allowance towards groceries, personal care and apartment essentials.
The anticipated schedule is six days per week, approximately eight hours per day, with final arrangements to be confirmed.
