Responsible for efficiently and smoothly running the household to high standards, providing personal service and a distinctive, hands on involvement.
In charge of the cost and service oriented maintenance of the chalet all year round.
A combination of the following skill set is required:
Housekeeper, waiter, chauffeur and handyman. The position involves:
She – Housekeeper:
general housekeeping duties (vacuuming and cleaning floors, dusting and polishing of all surfaces, window cleaning, changing linen etc.)
- preparing the chalet for the arrival of the owner / guests
- laundry & ironing of clothes and linens
- care of antiques, silver
- tending house plants & flower arrangements
- running errands and shopping for the household
- maintaining adequate supply of cleaning products
- preparing breakfast
He – Waiter / Chauffeur / Handyman :
- setting table and serving
- driving duties
- taking care of household vehicles
- general household maintenance
- looking after minor repairs and small day-to-day maintenance projects not requiring a tractor
- maintenance of the house, grounds and amenities
- heavy exterior cleanup (especially in winter)
- running technical facilities (pool, wellness, home cinema, home entertainment systems, alarm systems)
Requirements / qualifications
Experience in a similar position or first-class hospitality industry
Very good knowledge of English; French an additional asset
Clean driving licence
Experience DIY / handyman skills (he)
Good technical knowledge – the house is equipped with state of the art computerised services, security & alarm systems
Being able to maintain and operate the usual outdoor machinery and tools (he)
Self-motivated and willing to perform
Customer focused and dedicated – able to adapt to the owner’s needs
Hands-on and practical – problem solvers who can improvise if necessary

Additional information:
Dynamic household with an active social life, owner travels frequently and will only be in residence approx. 3 – 4 months / year
Flexibility regarding working hours / days off when owner is in residence
Owner will bring additional staff (e.g. chef) when visiting
Size: approx. 2’000m2
Live in position: bedroom & bathroom with separate staff
quarter (kitchen, recreation room)
Car will be provided – both need to drive
