A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced Companion to support a lady in her 80s, based in the prestigious Old Las Palmas neighbourhood of Palm Springs, California.
This role is ideally suited to a polished, emotionally intelligent, and culturally engaged individual who enjoys providing thoughtful companionship while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing warm, attentive, and engaging companionship
• Supporting daily routines and the overall well-being of the principal
• Acting as a trusted liaison and medical advocate, with clear reporting to the family where appropriate
• Coordinating and accompanying the principal to appointments, cultural engagements, and social outings
• Assisting with shopping and daily errands
• Light household support (with additional staff in place for full housekeeping and laundry)
• Accompanying the principal on national and occasional international travel
Candidate Profile
• Previous experience in a similar companion / UHNW household role
• Naturally empathetic, discreet, and highly dependable
• Well-presented with a genuine interest in the arts, fine dining, and cultural life
• Comfortable accompanying the principal to events and engagements
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• German language skills highly advantageous
• Must reside within close proximity to Palm Springs / Old Las Palmas or be willing to relocate locally
Schedule
• Approximately 8 hours per day
• 5.5 days per week
Compensation & Benefits
• $110,000 – $120,000 annual salary, dependent on experience
